Terms of Service

Archyno is operated by Archyno s.r.o.:

In these terms "we", "us", and "our" mean that company, and "you" means the person or organization using the service.

By creating an account or using Archyno you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

Archyno is a browser-based modelling tool for UML 2.5.1 and ArchiMate 4. It stores a single model per project, renders diagrams as views onto that model, and exports to raster, vector, and interchange formats.

We describe the fidelity limits of every export before it runs, and we say so on the marketing pages too. An interchange format that another tool implements differently is not a defect in this service.

You need an account to use anything beyond the public marketing pages. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything done under your account.

An organization owner can invite others and assign them a role. Owners and administrators can see, change, and remove the content of the organization they administer, including content created by other members. If you join an organization at someone else's invitation, that organization controls the projects you work in.

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account.

You agree not to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• upload malware, or files crafted to exhaust or crash our import, export, or rendering pipeline;
• probe, scan, or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, seat limits, or usage budgets;
• resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as your own product;
• use automated means to extract the service's content at a scale that degrades it for others.

Security research is welcome under the disclosure process on our security page. Testing that degrades the service for other customers is not.

Your models, diagrams, documents, and uploads remain yours. You keep every intellectual property right you had in them before you put them into Archyno.

You grant us the limited licence we need to run the service for you: to store, process, transmit, back up, and render your content, and to display it to the people you have granted access. That licence exists to operate the product and ends when the content is deleted.

We do not use your model content to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. See the privacy page for how model content is handled when you use an AI feature.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, including any specification, document, or source code you import.

The service itself - the software, the renderer, the export writers, the interface, and the Archyno name and marks - belongs to us. These terms give you a right to use the service, not a right to its code or design.

ArchiMate and UML are standards of The Open Group and the Object Management Group respectively. Enterprise Architect is a product of Sparx Systems. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, and we name them only to describe what this service reads and writes.

Some features send the current project and your selection to a third-party AI provider and return a suggestion. Every AI result arrives as a preview you accept, reject, or edit. Nothing an AI produces is written to your model without your explicit acceptance.

AI output can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing anything you accept, and you should not rely on AI output as professional, architectural, or legal advice.

AI usage is metered in credits against a monthly budget for your organization. When the budget is exhausted the AI features stop until the next period. We do not bill overage for AI usage.

The free plan is free indefinitely, within the limits published on the pricing section. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in euro and excluding VAT, through our payment processor. Prices shown exclude VAT, which is added where it applies.

On per-seat plans, only owners, administrators, and editors consume a seat. Viewers and commenters do not. Adding a seat mid-period is charged pro rata; removing one takes effect at the next renewal.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refunded.

If a payment fails we will retry and notify you. If it keeps failing we may downgrade the organization to the free plan; your data is not deleted at that point, but access to paid features and to content above the free limits stops.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the change applies to your next renewal. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before that renewal.

We aim for continuous availability but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee at this stage, and you should not treat Archyno as your only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export your work.

We may change, add, or remove features. If we remove something you depend on, or make a change that materially reduces the service, we will give reasonable notice by email.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an export will be accepted by, or round-trip cleanly through, any third-party tool. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss or corruption of data.

Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if you are on the free plan.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Deleting an organization deletes its projects.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that puts the service or other customers at risk, or that we are required by law to suspend. Where the circumstances allow it we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

After termination you have 30 days to export your content, after which we may delete it. Backups age out on the schedule described on the security page.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the product before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
